Patrick Goldstein has a good article in the L.A. Times today about Alanis Morrisette's "My Humps" cover/parody, its success on YouTube, and the burgeoning role of Web video in social commentary. (I hope Patrick'll be sticking around.) What he didn't mention though is the Alanis video's place in the larger satirical genre of geeky white acoustic covers of hip-hop tunes. Which I love.
